“It is your reaction to adversity, not the adversity itself, that determines how your life’s story will develop.”

Welcome to The MS Box

The MS Box was created to provide a compilation of various Multiple Sclerosis resources and products that may be helpful for someone with Multiple Sclerosis.

What is Multiple Sclerosis?

Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune disease that effects the the central nervous system which includes the brain and spinal cord. In Multiple Sclerosis the myelin sheath, which is the protective covering around nerve cells, are damaged by inflammation and scarring. The example I use for this is a damaged phone charger. The rubber covering the wires is damaged, therefore exposing the wire creating shortages and malfunctions in the circuit.

Multiple Sclerosis is a snowflake disease, which means it shows up in everyone uniquely. Some of the common symptoms include fatigue, pain, vision issues, spasms, sensory issues, emotional changes, and bladder dysfunction. Severity and duration of symptoms vary from person to person.
